Demir: We are capable of constructing Aircraft-Carrier

SSB President Demir says that Turkiye is capable of constructing an aircraft carrier ship if a decision is taken.

President of Defence Industry Agency (SSB) professor İsmail Demir attended the Teknofest held in Istanbul. Answering TurDef’s questions about current defence issues, Demir said that acquiring an aircraft carrier ship is not on the agenda. Some alterations will be made on the TCG Anadolu L400 vessel to provide safe launch and recovery of manned and unmanned aircraft from the flight deck. Demir added that the Turkish industry is capable of constructing the ship if necessary.
