China Launched its third aircraft carrier Fujian
The ship was known as Type 003, but it is named Fujian with a hull number CV-18. The ship has an estimated length of 325 meters. According to the Navy's officials, it is equipped with an electromagnetic catapult and arresting cables, which will allow the deployment of warplanes with a heavier payload than in Liaoning and Shandong, which use take-off ramp. The ship has a full load displacement of more than 80,000 tons. Fujian is believed to host advanced FC-31 / J-35 fighters and improved versions of the J-15. As of 2022, the PLAN has two combat-ready aircraft carriers, Liaoning, a retrofit of an old Soviet model Varyag. The Chinese "learned" the philosophy of aircraft carriers, and Shandong was practically built in China and commissioned in 2019.According to a report compiled by the Pentagon, the Chinese Navy has the largest fleet in the world. Its overall battle force is estimated to consist of approximately 355 ships and submarines, with more than 145 major surface combatants making up its force component.
