Bulgaria Buys Stryker IFV
The U.S. State Department approved a possible Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to Bulgaria of Stryker Vehicles for an estimated cost of $1.5 billion.

The Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on September 1st. Bulgaria has requested to acquire 183 Stryker Family of Vehicles. The proposed sale would consist of 90 XM1296 Infantry Carrier Vehicles – Dragoon (ICVD); 17 M1126 Infantry Carrier Vehicles (ICV); nine M1132 Engineer Squad Vehicles (ESV); 33 M1130 Command Vehicles (CV); 24 M1133 Medical Evacuation Vehicles (MEV); ten M1135 Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Reconnaissance Vehicles (NBCRV). The estimated total cost is $1.5 billion.

The U.S. defence company General Dynamics Land Systems, Anniston, AL, will be the principal contractor.
