Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) announced Türkiye’s export scorecard in August. The Turkish defence and aerospace industry, which broke the monthly record of all time with exports of 657.5 million dollars in July 2023, continues its march in exports. The sector’s August 2023 exports amounted to USD 376.1 million, an increase of 12.8 per cent compared to the same month of the previous year. On the other hand, as can be understood from the amount, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi Arabia in July and two MoUs in Riyadh in August, a local production agreement, were not included in these data.

On the other hand, the sector’s total exports between January 1 and August 31, 2023, reached 3.4 billion dollars, with an increase of 32 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year. The sector, which has an export target of 6 billion dollars for the end of the year, must realize an export of 2.6 billion dollars in the remaining four months to achieve this target.
