In a news release, ASELSAN stated, "The Türksat-5B satellite incorporates data transmission equipment created by ASELSAN using local and national resources." The Türksat-5B satellite has ASELSAN made a Ku-band receiver and a Ka-band low noise amplifier (LNA).

After passing the control tests, the equipment was sent to Airbus France's Toulouse facility. Airbus performed all satellite level tests as well as the attachment of the equipment to the satellite.
