ASELSAN signed export contracts valued at $34.3 million within the scope of the payloads for naval platforms to an international client. The export contract was announced on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), and the client is undisclosed. The cost of the contract suggests that ASELSAN has exported electro-optical systems or small radars for use on a ship.
DENİZGÖZÜ (Literally Sea Eye) is ASELSAN’s flag family of electro-optics intended for naval platforms. The family consists of systems in different sizes for different platforms. The optics are notably used by Ada-class corvettes, TCG İstanbul frigate (F-515), TCG ANADOLU LHD (L-400), and Barbaros-class frigates’ MLU.
ASELSAN’s smaller radars for naval platforms include ALPER navigation radars and MAR-D searching radar. ALPER is present on many Turkish-built warships, while Barbaros-class frigate MLU uses MAR-D to complement the SMART-S Mk2 search radar.
