An Osprey Crashed in Australia, Killing U.S. Marines
During an exercise, Three U.S. Marines were killed after a MV-22B Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft crashed over the Tiwi Islands off the Northern Territory coast.

The US Marine Corps made a public statement to indicate that the MV-22B Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft with 23 personnel on board crashed during an exercise in Australia. Marine Rotational Force Darwin said, “Three have been confirmed deceased while five others were transported to Royal Darwin Hospital in serious condition.” 

The multinational exercise involves 2,500 personnel on the Tiwi Islands.
