President of Defence Industry Agency (SSB) Professor İsmail Demir announced on the first day of 2023 that the Turkish Armed Forces received a new portable electronic attack system to protect units from RF Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (RCIED) Traps. Meteksan developed the MERTER. SSB and Meteksan signed the Portable Electronic Attack System (MERT/ MERTER) development project at IDEF 2019 for the Turkish Land Forces requirements. The company exhibited the product for the first time at the Meteksan Defence booth at IDEF 2021.
