According to Greece based SKAI TV, the United States has asked Turkey to officially confirm that it has not activated the Russian S-400 Air Defence systems.

Furthermore, the Biden administration wants a written guarantee that Turkey will never activate the systems. The US also wants to monitör the whole process at regular intervals by the US visits. According to the media outlet, the new US administration will suggest lifting the CAATSA sanctions if it receives these written commitments. The US and Turkish Presidents Joe Biden and Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet on June 14 at the NATO summit.

The SKAI TV stated that Turkey responded negatively to this request of the US.
