The 72nd Mechanised Brigade of the Ukrainian army has deployed a locally made buggy armed with the Corsar portable anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) weapon system.

The VOLS vehicle is built using a lightweight but tubular solid frame construction, with a low silhouette appearance. Manned by two soldiers, the vehicle carries two canisters of Corsar anti-tank missiles stored in a cargo box at the rear.

After locating a target, the crew quickly mounts a roof mounted gun-mounted launcher tube to launch the Corsar at its target promptly. VOLS which is classified as a Fast Attack Vehicle ( FAV ), can run up to a speed of 100 km / h, with a cruising range of 400 km.

This type of vehicle is beneficial for conducting hit and run operations. In other words, being able to attack a target and then quickly move to another position without being seen.

Corsar missiles can be equipped with two types of warheads, namely the RK-3K HEAT ( High-Explosive Anti-Tank ) with at least 550 mm penetration behind the ERA ( Explosive Reactive Armour) and the (RK-3OF high-explosive fragmentation warhead with a minimum penetration of 55 mm.

The Corsar can hit targets such as tanks or other combat vehicles at a range of up to 2.5 km and has a maximum flight time of 13 seconds at maximum range.
