TUSAŞ Places its Helicopter in Tunisia
Algerian Defence publication Menadefense claims that Tunisia will procure Turkish Aviation (TUSAŞ) Gökbey General Purpose Helicopter. The publication states that the Tunisian army will be the user.

According to the article, the Tunisian Armed Forces are considering acquiring six helicopters to replace the ageing UH-1s of the Tunisian Air Force. The Gökbey is a 5-ton medium helicopter that can carry 12 people. It has 6050 kg MTOW. It is equipped with two LHTEC CTS800 turbines and can reach a speed of 305 Km/h. There is currently no armed version of the helicopter, but it is possible to equip it with port machine guns. ASELSAN plans to provide its next-generation E/O ASELFLIR-R400D to the helicopter.
