Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, former Warshaw pact countries decided to increase their defence budgets. This increase indicates that the transformation from Warsaw Pact to the NATO Pact system will also speed up. Turkiye, this year, decided to lead this process.

According to the MSPO’s press release, Turkey will be the Lead Nation at this year’s International Defence Industry Exhibition. Turkey also organised the first National Exhibition during the MSPO in 2013.
