The Ministry of Defence stated on social media that two ANKA-S and one AKSUNGUR UAVs had been admitted into the navy's inventory.

Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ) is involved in the protection and surveillance of the seas, particularly in the Mediterranean and Aegean regions, with its single-engine UAV ANKA and two-engine Aksungur. The UAV's patrol area has grown thanks to SATCOM. With their superior sensors, unmanned platforms can execute various functions. The UAVs may also serve as a relay point for communication.

Both UAVs can be outfitted with a choice of munitions. Aksungur has a broader spectrum of ammunition than ANKA due to its two engines.
