Poland holds the 29th
International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO in Kielce. The expo is held
every year since the collapse of the Warsaw Pact.
Turkish companies showed
interest in the expo in the past but they did not receive the attention they
expected as they were not proven systems. This attitude has recently changed
and Poland has recently shown interest in Baykar’s drone Bayraktar TB2. Today
three Turkish companies ASELSAN, Ares Shipyard and Meteksan Defence attend the
expo. ASELSAN is a defence giant. Ares Shipyard constructs ships for many
countries. Meteksan Defence operates in six fields; radar systems, perimeter
surveillance systems, laser and electro-optic systems, communication systems,
underwater acoustic systems and platform simulators.
