There are unconfirmed reports from the Black Sea about Admiral Grigorovich-class frigate of the Russian Navy Black Sea Fleet being reportedly on fire near Zmiiny Island (Snake Island) in the Black Sea. According to open source information, a rescue operation is ongoing as multiple aircraft and rescue vessels are observed in the area. A Russian rescue ship (SPK-46150) was dispatched to the location.

Following Moskva hit last April 13th, the Russian Navy keeps its Black Sea fleet off the sea. There are, however, claims about the Russian Frigate Makarov being stuck by Ukrainian Anti-Ship Missiles off the Coast of Odesa. The U.S Surveillance UAVs FORTE11 and a USAF RQ-4 Global Hawk are on patrol in the area, but there is no confirmation about claims. It is speculated that the frigate was hit by Neptune anti-Ship missile. If confirmed, it will be the second success of the anti-ship missile in less than one month.

It has been hours since the first claim about the fire on the frigate, and since then, it is only known that there has been a fire in the region. Neither Russian nor Ukrainian sides make a statement about the frigate or Neptune missile. Last time, on April 13th, Ukraine had claimed the hit while Russia had only admitted the fire.
