The Greek Navy Got a Donated Support Ship
As a result of financial constraints, Greece has previously organised a donation campaign. Panos Laskaridis donated the general support ship “Ajax” to the Hellenic Navy.

The official handover ceremony of “Ajax” (A473) took place on Thursday at the Salamina Naval Station. Greek President Aikaterini Sakellaropoulou attended the handover ceremony.

The donator “honorary lieutenant” Laskaridis, who has formerly donated the ships “Hercules” and “Atlas I” attended the ceremony along with the Minister of Defence Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, the Chief of General Staff Rear Admiral Stelios Petrakis and the Chiefs of General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousis and General Staff Rear Admiral George Blioumis.
