Major General Hüseyin Duman, from the Defence Ministry, General Directorate of Technical Services, stated at the “Defence Industry Media Summit” held in Ankara. Answering a question about the future of the TF-2000 destroyer, Major general Duman said that the SSİK held in December reached a decision about the destroyer. Defence Ministry subsidiary ASFAT Inc (Military Factory and Shipyard Management Inc)started to work on the design of TF-2000; the vessel will be built at Istanbul Naval Shipyard Command.
