Sweden Orders NLAW to SAAB
The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (Försvarets materielverk/FMV) has placed an order for Saab's Next Generation Light Anti-Tank Weapon (NLAW). The order is worth around SEK 900 million, with product deliveries scheduled for 2024-2026.

NLAW is a shoulder-launched, anti-tank missile system that attacks the tank from above. It combines the advantages of heavy, crew-operated guided missile systems with the simplicity of light anti-armour weapons. A single soldier can take out a heavily protected modern main battle tank with NLAW at ranges ranging from 20 to 800 metres.

The NLAW is preferred for urban warfare as it provides an advantage against tanks.
