Turkish Defence giant ASELSAN has signed a contract with Nurol Makina (Nurol Machinery and Industry) to sell defence systems regarding the use of a European Union member country.

ASELSAN announced the development from its social media account. The company’s announcement includes the photos from the signing ceremony where ASELSAN President Haluk Görgün and Nurol Makina General Manager Engin Aykol stand together with Nurol Holding founder Oğuz Çarmıklı. The second photo includes a Nurol Makina Ejder Yalçın 4X4 Armoured vehicle equipped with ASELSAN’s SARP Remote Controlled Weapon Station. Nurol Makina exported Yalçın vehicles to Hungary.

SARP can be equipped with a 12.7 mm machine gun, 40 mm automatic grenade launcher or 7.62 mm machine gun. Through its extensive surveillance and remote control capabilities, SARP enhances situational awareness of the gunner in his proximity while the vulnerability to attacks is decreased drastically.
