Norway provides a Mistral air defence system to Ukraine
Norwegian Defence Minister Bjørn Arild Gram said that the government has decided to donate approximately 100 Mistral air defences to Ukraine. The Norwegian Navy uses the Mistral system. The Norwegian government has previously provided 4 000 M72 light anti-armour weapons and flak jackets and helmets to Ukraine.
Royal Norwegian Navy, Skjold-class missile craft features the Mistral missile. They have an HE fragmentation warhead with high-density tungsten balls, a Snecma solid-propellant rocket motor, and a passive IR system. It can travel at Mach 2,6. The missile will be phased out of the Norwegian Armed Forces, but it is still a modern and effective weapon to be used in Ukraine.Norway provides a Mistral air defence system to Ukraine
