French Naval Group Group has begun construction on the Greek navy's second FDI frigate. The steel-cutting ceremony took place at the Lorient Naval Group shipyard. In March 2022, the program for three frigates and one optional frigate was signed. The first two vessels will be delivered in 2025, followed by the third in 2026.

The FDI HN frigate is a high seas warship of 4,500 tons. The multipurpose vessel can be used for anti-ship, air defence, anti-submarine defence warfare, and special forces missions.
