Kyrgyzstan Procured Turkish TB2 UAVs
Kamchybek Tashiev, Chairman of the Kyrgyzstan National Security Committee, says they will take delivery of Turkish Bayraktar TB2 UCAVs soon with a 300 million Kyrgyzstani Som ($33.4 million) price tag. Tahiev’s words indicate that Kyrgyzstan acquires Turkish UAVs.

According to Tashiev, Kyrgyzstan has purchased Bayraktar TB2 UCAVs from Turkey in addition to 40 armoured vehicles. Tashiev also stated that Kyrgyzstan’s TB2s are on the production line. Noting that Bayraktar TB2s are in the inventory of only five countries, Tashiev confirmed that Kyrgyzstan would join these countries. Tashiev also noted that they had procured Orlan-10 UAVs from Russia.

The Bayraktar TB2 entered the Turkish army’s inventory in 2014 and is currently used by several other countries, including Ukraine, Qatar, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan. Poland has signed a procurement deal.
