King of Malaysia, Al Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah, together with the Malaysian Minister of Economy, Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul bin Tengku Abdul Aziz, and Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar visited FNSS facilities in Ankara.
King Al Sultan Abdullah received information about the armoured combat vehicles produced at the facility and examined the factory where the vehicles were produced. King Al Sultan Abdullah and Minister Akar got on the armoured vehicles produced at the facility and tested the vehicles.
FNSS company started to supply products to Malaysia a long time ago. FNSS and Malaysian DRB Hicom Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd. (DEFTECH) started the 8x8 Wheeled Armoured Vehicle (AV-8) Project in 2011. The project covers the development, production and technology transfer of 257 8x8 Vehicles in 12 different configurations for the Malaysian Armed Forces. In Malaysia, these vehicles are known as Adnan. This is the biggest export of the Turkish defence sector in land systems.
FNSS has also produced four AV-8 AENBCRV vehicles equipped with systems and equipment to detect and diagnose all kinds of chemical, biological, radioactive and nuclear threats to Malaysia.
The company exhibited its products at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) Fair, which was held between March 28-31. The company's PARS 4x4 and PARS III 6x6 armoured vehicles were exhibited. During DSA2022, DEFTECH and FNSS signed a collaboration agreement on the PARS Armoured Vehicles AV-8 GEMPITA to meet the potential requirements of the Malaysian Armed Forces.
After the presentation at the company's test site, an armoured vehicle demonstration was held. FNSS and its sister company Nurol Makina's tracked and wheeled armoured vehicles presented their capabilities.
