Hungarian small arms were developed and manufactured for use by the Hungarian Armed Forces. The weapons were announced at a press conference held in Kecskemét on International Aviation Day and Military Technology Demonstration in the presence of Gáspár Maróth, Minister of Defence, and Tibor Benk, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, Commander of the Hungarian Armed Forces also attended the press briefing.
Gáspár Maróth, the government commissioner in charge of defence
development, emphasised that a Hungarian engineering team was assigned the task
of developing small Hungarian arms about a year and a half ago. The results of
this work are presented in Kecskemét. According to the cooperation agreement
signed a month earlier, the Hungarian Armed Forces will begin testing the
prototypes in the near future.
