Turkish defence company Havelsan which produced the Platform Data Distribution Systems has completed the Ship Data Distribution System (GVDS) for Pakistan Navy. The Platform Data Distribution System family has two members GVDS for surface vessels and Submarine Data Distribution System (DBDS) for submarines.


Havelsan announced that the GVDSs would be integrated into Pakistan’s PN Milgem corvettes. Pakistan navy has also accepted the system. Havelsan has been producing the system for 14 years. Ten DBDS are developed for submarines, and 31 GVDS are installed on surface ships. The GVDS is installed on five MİLGEM, 16 New Type Patrol Boat, and two LST, one at TCG Anadolu, DIMDEG, TVEG, Burak, Barbaros and Kılıç vessels.

 Six DBDS are developed for Reis class submarines. One is installed at the Preveze class submarine, and three systems are designed for Pakistan’s AGOSTA-B submarines.
