In house weapon test from Hankaya Defence

Hankaya Defence has produced a weapon fire test system domestically. The system aims to save time and money to test weapons.

The Turkish Armed Forces and the General Directorate of Security carry out test fires with the repaired weapon. In practical terms, the test campaign requires a convoy to travel to an open field as the commander, the gunsmith, the technical team, the security team, the medical team join the test fire. The system provides test-fires within the factory, so there is no need for such convoy.

Hankaya   Defence Company has produced the system to reduce the time loss within the final inspection and test firing scope.

The software of the “Heavy Weapons Shooting Test System” called “Tuzak 12.7” (Trap 12.7) is also produced as a result of R&D studies carried out with domestic and national resources. It is also an indigenous product. The system can be easily updated. All ammunition up to 12.7 mm, including anti-aircraft ammunition, can be tested in the system, made of high-strength armour steel.

Company officials said, “The surfaces that will be subject to wear or deterioration over time due to the shots can be changed when desired, and the amount of wear is observed. The cabin, designed to slow down the ammunition, is manufactured from at least 14 mm and rolled homogeneously armour-RHA.

In the cabins where 12.7 mm ammunition will be used, a pressure cell is designed using 14 mm boiler steel to withstand the pressure created by the bullets. A ventilation fan motor with the ATEX Ex-Proof feature is used to evacuate the gases formed in the system. ATEX Ex-Proof water the pump was used to evacuate unburned powders, cores and other particles in the system.”
