A meeting between Libya's Foreign Minister and Greece's Chargé d'Affaires took place in Tripoli, during which the announcement was made. Najla Al-Mangoush discussed the state of bilateral relations between Libya and Greece and potential ways to improve them.

She also hailed Greece's support for the Presidential Council and the Government of National Unity in Libya.
