Greece continues to carry out multinational naval activities in its region. MEDUSA 12 Naval Exercise has started in line with these efforts.
According to the official information published by Hellenic Navy, the exercise will be conducted between November 19 and 25, 2022. Egypt, the Southern Authority of Cyprus, the USA and Saudi Arabia are also taking place in the Bilateral Multidisciplinary Exercise in addition to Greece.
MEDUSA 12 aims to strengthen the cooperation between Greece and the participating countries and conduct operational training at an interdisciplinary level and in a multi-threat environment.
The "MEDUSA" series of exercises are part of the overall planning of the Greek Armed Forces in terms of international cooperation as well as in the Military Cooperation Program (MPC) of Greece and Egypt for 2022. Combat aircraft, attack helicopters, frigates, replenishment tankers, submarines, special forces elements, amphibious assault platforms and other combatants are attending the training activities.
