First Lithuanian people raised funds to donate TB2 UAV to Ukraine. Ukrainian people decided to follow the same route for themselves. Turkish UAV manufacturer Baykar said it would not accept the money each time and should be used in favour of Ukrainians and gifted the UAV. According to Ukraine-based Defense Express magazine, the third wave is coming from Poland now.

According to the publication, Poland has started raising money for the Bayraktar TB2 Armed UAV for Ukraine, said journalist Slawomir Sierakowski, the fundraiser’s initiator.
The announcement post says after the Lithuanians collected 5 million euros for one of these drones, the Ukrainians collected 600 million UAH ($20 million), so the Poles should not stand aside.
“It’s time for us. Do you remember Bucha, Irpień, Mariupol? Let’s take part in this fight. Let’s buy a Polish Bayraktar,” said the fundraiser’s description, which aimed to raise 22.5 million PLN, or $5 million.

At the same time, the designer and manufacturer of Bayraktar TB2 UAVs – the Turkish company Baykar Makina – refused to take money for the products. The company sent them free of charge instead both times when the Lithuanians and the Ukrainians launched such fundraisers.
Baykar requested that the funds raised by the campaigns be used for other Ukrainian needs.

The Ukrainian publication, however, underlines that if such UAV fundraising flash mobs continue to be launched in other countries, Baykar may at some point need to start charging for its work. It is assumed that the Turkish company donates UAVs from its production line reserved for other buyers.

Poland's Defence Ministry has already acquired TB2 UAVs for the country's defence.
