Argentine is proceeding modernisation process of TAM 2C tanks. The country has taken delivery of the first upgraded vehicle, equipped with a new turret.

Upgrade studies are carried out in line with Argentinian requirements. TAM 2C is fitted with a new turret. Works are focused on fire control system, 105-millimetre gun stabilisation and commander/gunner optic. Thus, the engagement capability of the TAM is increased. The hit probability on the first hit is also increased. Development of the new TAM 2C is performed by the Argentine Army Research, Development and Production Directorate in cooperation with Israeli companies IMI and Tadiran. Argentinian IMPSA also provided a production solution.
