During the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX 2021) in Cairo, Egypt's Minister of Military Production, Mohamed Morsy, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Head of the Executive Department for Technology and Defence Industries, Khalifa Ali Al Kaabi, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National Authority for Military Production and the Emirates Council for Defence Companies to boost cooperation in the field of defence industries.


The Military Production Minister hailed the Emirati investment in owning sustainable capacity in various industries, military or civil industries.

Meanwhile, Matar Ali Al Rumaithi, Chairman of the Emirates Council for Defence Firms, underlined the UAE's willingness in expanding strategic partnerships with various authorities and enterprises participating in the "EDEX 2021" expo particularly military manufacturing companies.

According to Al Kaabi, the UAE's participation in EDEX 2021 is motivated by the UAE's historical ties with Egypt and the significance of the event.
