Unmanned aerial systems play an important role in battles in Ukraine. Invaders and defenders constantly use different kinds of drones for reconnaissance, surveillance and also attack purposes.

Russia acquired unmanned aerial systems from Iran after failures in the Ukraine front. The main supplier of systems is Iran. After the occupiers’ kamikaze drone attacks on Ukraine, the European Union (EU) took action. According to information published by officials, EU countries agreed to apply sanctions on three individuals and one entity for supplying drones from Iran to Russia.
