Charles de Gaulle Back on Sea Trials
According to French publication Mer et Marine, the French nuclear aircraft carrier will return soon to sea trials after three months of technical stop in Toulon. Once completed, the vessel will start operational readiness tests (MECO/ Mise En Condition Opérationnelle) at the end of the month.
She will then gradually find his air group on board (GAE/ Groupe Aérien Embarqué), before welcoming the school of on-board aviation (EAE) for a qualification campaign for new pilots. Technical maintenance of Charles de Gaulle will be completed in autumn. The ship should leave Toulon at the end of the year. The mission, duration and region are not announced yet.
