At the launch, Australian Assistant Secretary of Defence Hon
Matt Thistlethwaite MP said the ePMV was essential to the Australian Army’s
efforts to be “Future Ready”. “We have seen great success with Australian
designed and built vehicles that keep personnel safe under fire, and the new
ePMV represents the next innovative stage in that tradition,” he said.
In addition, ePMV brings the benefits of electric vehicles
to the battlefield, especially being quieter than fuel-burning vehicles. ePMV
is on display at the Chief of Army Symposium, a three-day event (9-11 August
2022) bringing together technology, industry partnerships and Australian-led
innovation. This symposium provides Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel
and industry partners with the opportunity to get hands-on with the latest
technology to support the Army of tomorrow.
Various research results and innovations in the defence industry were presented at this symposium held in Adelaide.
