Australia tests new unmanned marine surveillance technology
Australian Defence Forces (ADF ) have recently tested the unmanned maritime surveillance vessel, Bluebottle.

Ocius Technologies developed the surveillance vessel as part of the country’s patrolling mission Operation Resolute. The tests were held on the northern coast of Western Australia in October. During the two-week deployment, personnel conducted surveillance and reconnaissance operations in an area of approximately 5,500 squarekilometresto track foreign fishing vessels and collect evidence of illegal activity. According to Northwest Mobile Force patrol master captain Stephen Sewell, the activity increased situational awareness to monitor illegal activities in the region.
