ASFAT A.Ş., affiliated
with the Ministry of National Defence, undertook a service job in Azerbaijan
with the contract signed between the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan and the ASFAT.
The company will perform the equipping and modernization of military factories in
Nakhichevan.
Nakhichevan is attached to Azerbaijan, but it has no physical connection. It is the only piece of land among the Turkish states that Turkey has a land border. There is a 17 km border between Turkey and Nakhichevan. The position of the Nakhichevan, which is in the exclave, changed with the war with Armenia in the autumn of 2020. A road connection will be provided between the two pieces of land.
