ASELSAN Board of Directors Chairman and CEO Professor Haluk Görgün met with the press. It stated that they exported electronic warfare and electronic support systems to various countries.
“We signed contracts
with various countries on the export of electronic warfare (EW) and electronic
support (ES) systems”, Görgün said. Answering TurDef’s question, Görgün said that
ASELSAN’s product export policy of these systems is “not different from the
rest of the world.”
EW and ED systems are
evaluated according to two electronic systems power and the threat library.
ASELSAN’s systems are known to dominate the area. Turkish Armed Forces, which
has the Electronic Warfare Test and Training Area (EHTES), has a complex and
well-developed library. Main Russian-made air defence systems and NATO ones and
the subsystems are located in EHTES located in Konya. Turkey develops its
library every year with the International Anatolian Eagle exercise.
The Iraqi Defence
Minister Juma Inad Saadoun announced that they were procuring six electronic warfare systems from
Turkey.
